How was your stay or event?: Tucked away in the woods of Waynesboro, this cabin has become our family’s favorite retreat — the kind of place that immediately slows your heart rate the moment you pull in. This was our daughter’s very first visit, and watching her see the sun filter through the fall trees and dip her tiny feet in the sand by the bonfire made the weekend feel even more magical. The creek’s soft babble, the old swing over the water, and the stillness of the woods remind you what peace actually feels like.

The owners have clearly poured their heart into every corner of this property. It’s beautifully maintained and somehow continues to grow without losing its charm — from the authentic saloon to the pavilion with its cozy fireplace and TV, the hot tub, fishing pond, and now even a wedding chapel with a glamping tent on the way. It manages to feel both luxurious and deeply familiar at the same time.

We come back again and again because it gives our family something rare — a secluded, thoughtful, memory-making place where generations can slow down together. If you’re looking for an oasis that feels cared for, quiet, and unforgettable, this is it.

I have been to this little piece of heaven several times now. It’s one of those places that one time just isn’t enough. After our first visit I couldn’t wait to share it with my family. They loved it too !! We have spent a long weekend there twice now with the kids & grands and it was just a very special time. Quality time fishing ,wading in the creek, playing games…no city lights, no outside noise, just nature and waterfalls. Another few days over New Years with friends, games, football and lots of food and fun ! It just doesn’t get any better. We take our camper so enough beds for all because nobody wants to leave ! I remember asking Gregg, ” If I win the lottery, would you sell me this place?” His immediate answer, ” NO” didn’t surprise me at all…I get it…somethings you just can’t put a price on !! I love it here !!!

How was your stay or event?: We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect place for a romantic getaway. The cabin is tucked away in a serene spot, with a beautiful stream running nearby that created the most peaceful background soundtrack to our stay. It felt private, quiet, and completely relaxing—exactly what we were looking for.
The outdoor pavilion was a highlight. We spent evenings there listening to the water and enjoying the fresh air—it made the whole experience feel magical. Inside, the cabin was cozy and inviting, with everything we needed for a comfortable stay.
If you’re looking for a spot to unwind, reconnect, and enjoy nature, this cabin is absolutely ideal. We left feeling refreshed and already can’t wait to come back.

My husband and I celebrated our 35th wedding anniversary at the picturesque Rustic Haven. This cabin offered everything we could desire for a weekend getaway—an off-the-grid feel with all the comforts of home. The creek that flowed right outside the cabin was simply breathtaking. We were particularly fond of the outdoor pavilion and chapel, which were unique amenities not found at other properties. The hosts were incredibly friendly and attentive, ensuring that we had everything we needed for a wonderful stay. We highly recommend Rustic Haven and eagerly anticipate our next visit.
